Gavin Ward Ltd, specialists installers of grant aided fuel saving, energy efficient central heating systems, cavity wall and loft insulation, have invested in new industry leading specially developed insulation vehicles.

The vehicles complement Gavin Ward Ltd’s existing fleet and have been introduced following collaboration with the specialist vehicle body builders Anchor bodies of Trafford Park, Manchester.

The design incorporates specialist lightweight materials and additional strengthening to the chassis to enable the payload to be increased from that of the standard design vehicle/body, which the majority of other Cavity Wall insulation installers currently use.

Paul Dove, General Manager of Gavin Ward Ltd advised: “The specialist design enables our teams to legally carry additional Cavity wall material on board each day to be able to insulate one additional home per day. The smaller vehicle also ensures that any access problems often experienced with the traditional larger type 7.5 tonne vehicles are removed. The combination of the specialist design lightweight body enables a smaller lighter weight vehicle to be used thus improving our flexibility in reaching those properties down narrow lanes and on estates where access can be an issue. “

The introduction of the new specially designed vehicles also coincides with updated vehicle signage and redesigned uniforms for all Gavin Ward staff, thus ensuring Gavin Ward Ltd maintains its position at the very forefront of new developments and technologies.
