- Grant Aided Installers’ Network (GAIN) recognises Gavin Ward for services to industry.
Gavin Ward, Founder and Managing Director of Gavin Ward Ltd, a Government appointed installer of grant funded Warm Front heating and insulation has received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for services to industry, from GAIN.
The award ceremony was held at the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club and was presented by Scottish legend and veteran international rugby player, George ‘Doddie’ Weir who was also Conference Chairman for the event. The prestigious award recognises the commitment, hard work, experience and dedication that Gavin Ward has given to the industry and the network over many years.
“I am extremely thrilled to have won this award on behalf of everyone in the team because it recognises our efforts and contribution as specialists in our field, with a passion for what we do,” said Gavin Ward.
Gavin went on to say: “Being an installer for this excellent Government initiative and the Warmfront scheme is truly rewarding because we not only aim to eradicate fuel poverty, but also help to create more energy efficient homes and improve the lifestyles of those we serve.”
The awards were presented at GAIN’s annual national conference sponsored by EAGA. The conference theme was ‘Delivering warmth to those who need it most,” with speeches on renewable and sustainable energy and how to eradicate fuel poverty by The Rt. Hon Michael Jack MP and Chairman of the Environment and Rural Affairs Select Committee.
The Grant Aided Heating Installers' Network supports heating and insulation contractors participating in grant-aided schemes. This includes the UK Government grant schemes: Warm Front in England, HEES Wales, Warm Deal Scotland and Warm Homes in Northern Ireland. It also covers the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT), as managed by energy suppliers; and schemes run by local authorities.
This means that as an appointed installer for the Warm Front Scheme, Gavin Ward Ltd are fully focused and committed to carrying out grant aided works to the highest possible quality and standards available.
Gavin added: “Households who are thinking they may be entitled to a heating / insulation grant need look no further.
