The rising cost of fuel is just one of the many concerns facing families across Blackpool as the credit crunch continues to take effect. However, many are not aware that they could be eligible for grants from a Lancashire based company – Burnley based Gavin Ward Ltd.
Warm Front heating and insulation grants are a Government-funded initiative, managed by eaga – the UK’s leading provider of energy solutions, and designed to help eradicate fuel poverty in the UK.
Geoffrey Frost, 86, lives in Blackpool with his wife and after seeing an advert about ‘Warm Front Grants’ decided to ring up to find out if they were eligible. After being assessed, the couple discovered that they qualified for a grant of £3,500.
This meant that their 35 year old boiler and central heating system could be replaced with a new, more efficient system. Geoffrey said: “My wife and I have nothing but praise for Gavin Ward Ltd. As well as a new boiler, we were given new radiators and pipe work throughout the house.”
Gavin Ward's Assistant Contracts manager, Peter Chester said: “Many people, like Geoffrey and his wife are living with old and inefficient boilers which The Warm Front can repair or upgrade to allow for a significant reduction in fuel bills.”
Geoffrey and his wife were very pleased that their home was left in the same condition as it had been before the work started and could not fault the service they had received.
Geoffery said: “We cannot believe how much we were eligible for. The new heating system is excellent and we are looking forward to reduced energy bills this winter.”
